Property Tax Exemption Seminars
Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Mary Jo Collins announced that she will again host 10 in-person Property Tax Exemption seminars in North Hempstead this fall. Homeowners will learn how to apply for important property tax exemptions and will have an opportunity to ask questions about the exemption application process. Residents will learn about STAR (Basic and Enhanced), as well as tax exemptions for senior citizens, veterans, and other eligibility requirements that can help lower their property taxes. Reservations aren’t required but are recommended, as seating may be limited at some locations.
